  • What do you think about including in-game descriptions of alchemy spells? E.g. Acid Rain - "Showers enemies with acid". Although the descriptions are pretty minimal, it is still extra information from the game which is currently not in the wiki.

    • Actually those should have been part of the template, so you can leave them out, but otherwise, yup.

    • For mobile it looks fine but for desktop, it reads like normal text. But I'll leave them out and just add the text.

  • I don't know who added the "Item Drops" section thingy to most monsters, but as you may or may not know, the Monster Prizes dropped by all monsters in SoE depend on the location where it is dropped, not which enemy dropped it.

This means either that section info thingy needs to be removed from all monsters or all possible monster prizes need to be added, which may be quite a list for some monsters like Mosquitos and Rats.

    What do you think?

      Loading editor
    • The guides I used to build the templates did not explain the mechanics and listed drops as absolutes. It'd be best to just remove them, since it's not really the monster that is tied to drops. I will do so.

  • Hey DrakeyC

    Check this out: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/588645-secret-of-evermore/77714203#7

Created a new topic with charm ideas I had, have a read and let me know what you think! <3

    • The Nano Tracker sounds cool. Other two eh, tbh.

I'd be interested in a Charm that increases money gained from killing enemies, or something to expand the ingredients sold by alchemists so formulae are less region-locked.

    • Check out the other 3 regions and their charms too :D

Ye I really think the Nano Tracker would have been a great addition to the game.

Maybe when the player shows the Energy Core to Horace in his palace, he allows them access to a shop in the palace, which sells the 20 (out of 22) sold ingredients, at their highest possible price. Cost of 1,000 Jewels every time the shop is accessed.

  • The formula icon for Storm is wrong. In the game, there is no "jumping" animation. And if you pay attention, there is a lightning flash, a pause, then two lightning flashes in quick succession.

      Loading editor
    • Aye. I'm disinclined to approximate the flashing speed, as that would make a longer animation and a much larger file size, but you are correct the "jumping" needs fixing. Thanks.

  • Hi, I noticed a number of images for things like alchemy spells (https://secretofevermore.fandom.com/wiki/File:Cure.gif) originally had a cleaner look but it was eventally changed. Was this to match the 64x64 dimension?

    • The images are pixelated because they're pixels, not because they're poor quality. Your replacement images just blurred the icons.

        Loading editor
    • @ScorchedEarth which icons need fixing?

That aside, I'm going to do as I did for the formula animations and put a consistent size to the ingredient icons.

  • I'd like to add a new subsection under Community on the wiki. I would add things like the 2 player mod of SoE, the balance patch, the hard mode patch, my own SoE achievement google file, etc

I do not know how I can add this section however, any help?

    • I'd rather not, it could be seen as endorsing or supporting them.

  • Hey buddy, check out this google doc file I made. You'll like it, so give it a read. I also posted on the SoE reddit about it and it's getting some attention.

    • Interesting, though it's not really content that should go on the Wiki.

        Loading editor
    • I thought of asking you if it could be on the wiki, but it has no place on the wiki indeed. Unless there is some kind of fan post place thingy on the wiki, but there isnt afaik

        Loading editor
    • You should deffo give it a try and tell me how it goes! Some guy did the Master run a week ago, he did use Levitate though and was overleveled a bit.

  • I understand that you dislike there being a page for that, but I discovered some very interesting information about chests. Things even you don't know/did not think about. So I would prefer it to have that page back.

    • I get that 100%. But a page like that would be interesting, for elite SoE players, like me. But it seems you want to keep this wiki clean and with compact information. Understandable.

        Loading editor
    • Yes. More information is good, but it should be presented in the simplest and easiest-to-understand manner.

I need to go to bed and work shortly, but I won't be available for a fair time. What you could do, if you'd like, is make a sandbox at User:Iron_Scorchy/Sandbox. Userspace if your space to do as you like, and you could use a sandbox to play around with coding and writing and templates, etc, before taking it to the mainspace, and I could pop in when I'm available tomorrow to give you feedback.
