The Claws of Thraxx are a secondary target in the battle with Thraxx itself.
Thraxx's claws automatically attack the player, but are immobile and cannot hit the player unless they are close. They can also strike the player when approaching Thraxx's ribcage. The player must use alchemy to hit the claws, or wait for them to come down and then attack with the Bone Crusher.
The Claws each reward a substantial amount of experience and Talons. However, the difficulty in hitting them with melee weapons means it takes a considerable amount of effort to defeat them. If the player has enough Flash and Hard Ball uses to take out the Claws, they may do so if they wish to optimize rewards, but it is easier to just focus on the heart.
