The Claws of Coleoptera are a secondary target in the battle with Coleoptera itself.
Strategy[]
Coleoptera's claws automatically attack the player, but are immobile and cannot hit the player unless they are close. They can also strike the player when approaching Coleoptera's ribcage. The player must use ranged attacks to hit the claws, such as alchemy, a charged spear, or the Bazooka.
The Claws each reward a huge amount of experience (and also Talons). It could be worthwhile to destroy them for their exp reward, if the player is close to a levelup, fully restoring their HP. It is easier to just focus on the heart, however.
When the player defeats Coleoptera, both Claws will also be destroyed but the player will not gain any experience or Talons. For this reason, the Claws should not ignored but instead be killed.
